Your Horoscope for Today

"Shishido-san? What are you reading?" Ohtori asked, frowning as he watched his senpai leaning back and balancing his chair while reading something from the newspaper.

"Oh, the horoscopes," Shishido answered, slightly distracted.

"…horoscopes?" Ohtori blinked in disbelief. His cool, collected senpai was reading that trash?

"Mmhm."

"Shishido-san? May I ask you a question?"

"Sure…" Shishido murmured, distracted as he traced a line down the paper, obviously only paying Ohtori half a mind.

"Why are you reading the horoscopes?"

"Ah, they give love advice," Shishido said, tilting his head back and grinning at Ohtori upside-down.

"And you need love advice because…?" Ohtori was a little hurt that Shishido need to turn to a piece of paper instead of him, especially for love advice.

"Because it might give me ideas?" Shishido said, turning back to his paper. "Besides, they give you an outlook for the week."

"You actually believe in those things?" Ohtori asked, incredulous.

"Yeah," Shishido said with a grin. "They're correct every now and then."

"Oh? How? They're made up by someone who puts it through a computer system and has fun picking which sounds the best for what."

Shishido laughed and wagged his finger at Ohtori. "Ah, I sense a skeptic!"

"You sense a realist."

"Wouldn't you say I'm a realist? If anything, Choutarou, you're an idealist."

"So, if the horoscope says you're going to be abducted by werewolves doing the can-can who will then turn you over to be a virgin sacrifice to zombies, would you believe it?"

Shishido laughed and let his chair fall back on all four legs. "No, because it's not possible."

Ohtori heaved a sigh of relief and opened his mouth to say something.

"Mainly because I'm not a virgin. Besides, zombies can't get it up enough to want a virgin sacrifice. Now, if it was to vampires…"

Ohtori let his head fall to the table with a thump.

Shishido couldn't help grinned and leaned across the table to place a kiss on Ohtori's head where he had hit it. "Sorry. But, honestly, they've got some good points. Remember back in middle school when I lost to Tachibana? I didn't listen to my horoscope, so I, of course, lost."

Ohtori stared at Shishido in horror. "Please tell me you're just having me on."

"Nope. In fact, I just read your horoscope too."

"Oh?" Ohtori asked, eyebrow raised, resigned to his fate.

"Mmhm."

"And what does it say?"

"That you're going to play tennis, go to lunch, study, and then go to the movies and dinner."

Ohtori frowned, "What? I don't have anything planned for today, though."

"You do now," Shishido winked, getting up from the table with a grin. "Ten minutes to change, skeptic."

"Hunh?" Ohtori asked, scrambling to his feet. "Shishido-san!"

"It's a date then?"

Ohtori blinked as Shishido vanished into his room to change. Glancing down at the newspaper, Ohtori grabbed it up and stared.

"Word scramble…?"
